Soft Everyday Makeup I Actually Wear

I love watching dramatic makeup tutorials, but in real life I reach for the same soft, simple look almost every day. It takes ten minutes, survives a full workday and still looks like me.

I start with a light moisturiser and a sheer foundation that evens out my skin tone without hiding my freckles. A tiny bit of concealer under the eyes makes me look awake, even on days when I definitely don't feel awake.

On the eyes I use one warm brown shade all over the lid, blended out with a fluffy brush. No complicated cut crease, just a soft shadow that makes my eyes look a bit bigger. Brown mascara instead of black keeps everything gentle.

The most important step is blush – a peachy cream formula that I dab onto my cheeks and the bridge of my nose. It adds life back into my face and makes me look like I just came back from a long walk in fresh air.

On the lips I rotate between a tinted balm and a nude lipstick, depending on whether I'm carrying a coffee cup or a laptop that day. Nothing revolutionary, just a tiny routine that makes me feel put together without trying too hard.
